I believe the way to determine this is to look at your Software version, through Settings -> About phone -> Software info -> Software number (not sure if all these names are the right ones in English, mine's in Danish). If it's 1.21.405.2, you should be able to upgrade to Froyo :)

I just downloaded it for my Desire (in Australia) & there is major problems. Nothing is working now, no phone signal, no WiFi etc etc. It just keeps resetting & I can't even do a factory data reset. It's basically bricked it.

    I don't know what to do ...

When you Download a App does it give you the choice of downloading it to the SD card or does it just do it?

When i download Apps its not putting them onto my SD card.

    Any ideas guys please?

The grey move to SD card wont let me do it so does it mean that apps have to be updated first?

yup I just upgraded it from India. My phone is most likely from HK or SG.

Works like a charm. Took about 5 minutes to backup and install, after downloading the 90M file.

It's still syncing my email -- does it take so much time? I use google mail and google apps mail via the google mail app!

    cheers

edit: the syncing worked fine. All that was needed was for me tpo refresh the google mail account.

Another great feature that has till now completely frustrated me, is that the htc calendar can now accommodatgoogle and google apps calendar together. This is, for me at least, the single most important benefit of the upgrade.p
