What does it mean if it says FTM where the start screen is supposed to be? It's on a tall rectangle.
I think it means, "Factory Test Mode". Try removing the battery, and reinserting it (if applicable).
Otherwise simulate a battery pull by holding down the power button until it reboots.
What device do you have and have you recently factory reset it?
Thanks. Mikestony, it's a ZTE Z987 and I did not do a factory reset on it. It's been acting weird and I want to open it and maybe take out the battery but I don't know how. There was a weird little tool in the box but I guess it doesn't work. The SD card is an Adata 32 GB.
OP, I merged your other FTM thread with this one for you.

perhaps doing that again will get out of it?
I also found this, but realize it's a slightly different model, but try the "Power Cycle" option?
