As the title says is there a nexus one ROM out there where everything works??
This is the Sprint CDMA Hero forum. Not sure this is the right place for that question.
Did I say that wrong? . I'm a total noob sorry. I plan on rooting my Sprint Hero within the next week or so. Do I need to head over the Nexus One forums and ask?
This is what I want on my phone: YouTube - Sprint HTC Hero Running Nexus One OS
Not all of the features work on that one. Any ideas on where I can ask around for one where everything works?
Ok, now you are making more sense to me
Knowing you have a Sprint CDMA Hero, there are a variety of ROM's you can install. Look up in this forum and you should find a link containing the most current ones.
There are a ton of custom roms for you to choose from. None are 2.2 yet, but many of the 2.1 roms are optimized and run really well. You can find some here in this thread, http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-sprint-hero/31394-latest-custom-roms.html , and if you look here, there are threads about many of them All Things Root (Sprint Hero) - Android Forums .
Hope that helps
Okay thanks very much both of you! I'll take a look
Doing a little searching, it looks like that ROM is DarchDroid.
Link to info for this ROM can be found here:
[Rom] Darchdroid v2.7 "KangSlayer" | Complete, OC'd, MMS, Camera, Everything!! - xda-developers
Before you flash this rom, make sure (as always) you do your research.
I have one more question. What is flashing? I was reading this page xda-developers - View Single Post - Visual Voicemail on AOSP?
and it's talking about flashing files. How do I do that?
You need to read some of the info threads pinned at the top of the root forum. Flashing ZIP files is an important concept when working with custom ROMs.
Flashing just means you boot into recovery mode or use ROM MANAGER and select the ZIP file from your SD card.
I read the little tutorials but they weren't clear enough for me. However, I did some more research and figured it out!
