My phone wouldn't hang up a call so I force quit the dialer app and it made all the audio on my droid turn really fast and high pitch like everything was sung by chipmunks. I got a good laugh from it so I thought I would share it.. it went away after I restarted the phone.

XD Omg, the same exact thing happened to me last summer. I had absolutely no idea what was wrong lol. It got really annoying because my text message sound is the Mario coin sound, and hearing that sped up over and over was a total nuisance lol.

Haha at least I'm not the only one who's had this happen. I'm glad it went away though.

Wow, I have had this happen to me like 3 times in the last few weeks. I'm not sure what causes it and the only way to make it stop is a reboot. It's really weird too because it randomly switches between fast/normal playback, even while in the middle of playing an audio clip.

I'm running SS 4.9 and P3Droid's 1.1 GHz LV kernel. Were you running totally stock? If so, that's a bad sign because I figured it was either the ROM or kernel causing it. I would like to know how this happens now, heh.
