I'm trying to root and update the firmware of my g-box. I have the same one as in this post: http://androidforums.com/google-tv/462609-android-g-box-rooted-3g-skype-support.html
The problem that i have is that my box is not seeing the update.img on bootup (in the file explorer I do see the image). I already tried to reformat the SD in normal FAT.
Next thing i tried was connecting it with my notebook through a USB male male cable. When I set the g-box in usb slave mode my notebook is seeing a device "rk2918 sdk", but when i'm trying to install the driver that comes with the rkbatchtool, I get a code(10) error. Saying that the device cant start.
Did somebody have the same problem? Is there somebody with a solution?
