Root G2 reboots into boot loader on it's own

suddenly tonight my G2 rebooted itself when I wasn't looking and started back up in what I guess is Bootloader, but I cannot choose any of the options..

i see the following on the screen:

FASTBOOT (highlighted)

<VOL UP..
<VOL DOWN......

POWER DOWN

I cannot use the volume button to move the selection or the power button to make an entry.. it's just stuck here untill i pull the battery out and it boots right back to this screen.

I have left the battery out for an extended period of time, maybe 20 minutes and the phone booted normal, but then it went right back to this screen after a few minutes. i have removed the sim and the microSD and I have plugged it into a wall charger and it still won't come back around for me...

any ideas out there???

You have a stuck or broken vol rocker. Take it to tmo if you can. Or mess with it, it may require being taken apart.
