    Hey everyone.

I'm buying soon a new phone for myself and seeing how community is great here I was hoping if anyone could help me figure out which one to take.

The carrier I'm buying from currently only has G3 ( 32GB version with 3 GB RAM), but they can get G4 in a few weeks (or maybe a month) so I'm wondering should I wait or go with G3.

Are there many major differences between the two phones ? So far I have seen that the G4 has better:

    GPU
CPU (hexa-core with lower speed compared to quad-core with higher speed from G3)
IPS "Quantum Screen" - This I don't know what is the major difference, is Quantum alot better than IPS+ ?
    Better camera (F and B)
    And other miscellaneous stuff.

If anyone has any idea on which one to take let me know.

I mostly use my phone for Gaming, Web browsing and Video Watching.

    Thanks in forward.

    I would get the G4.In fact I got one.lol.
The G4 is newer and has a better camera,Battery life is a little to be desired.
But its not to bad for me.

The G4 has at least another year of support from LG via security updates and likely will get Android N (if you're into updating. Some people currently are not apparently). Non Nexus phones typically get 2 years of support. The G3 is a 2 year old model, and the G4 is 1 year old, hence still will get software support.

    Thanks everyone for replying.

I think I will wait out for G4, but while I'm waiting are there any other recommended phones you guys would suggest to take that are same or better than G4 near it's price ?

You'd have to make compromises. The S6 will be faster, since all its memory is nandflash. MicroSD cards do slow down the phone if you have your apps moved to there, and loads slower on media. However it will also be more expensive and has a non replaceable battery. Plus it's more fragile with its glass back.

The HTC One M9 is a great phone, with awesome sound quality. The camera isn't that great compared to the S6 and G4 though, and it does have overheating and battery issues.

An S5 will have specs comparable to the G3, but will have waterproofing, and possibly cheaper than a G4.
