Every verizon store i goto push's the S5 or S6 but i'm over the push button to open it up. I see the G3 has the tap screen to open it up. Does this function work well and battery l i also was over in the S5 forums section it look like a mad house with nothing but issues but here i do see a few but not as many over there.

I've had the G3 for a couple months now, no complaints here. Personally between those 2 I'd probably always with the G3, mainly because I think Samsung's are oversold & I don't like to follow the pack. But that's just me.

There's some really good things about the G3, and there's some absolutely STUPID things about it.

They finally released the 24b update, which means you now get notifications about emails and such on wifi. Imagine that, going 3 months without email notifications, what a pain in the ass. LG takes its time with big issues.

They also keep adding, removing, and adding the stupid chime that your battery is fully charged. So after you're asleep, you get woken up. Also, the user interface is a bit tricky to do advanced changes to, many settings aren't in the areas you'd expect. There's a fair amount of customization, but again, sometimes you have to really hunt or research online how to disable/alter something.

It's a decent phone, but accessories for Samsung are a lot more plentiful. Quite frankly, LG and Samsung both are pretty bad about taking care of customers. I don't know what to say, I liked Android 3-4 years ago. But with all the nonsense Google has done and all of the manufacturer to carrier specific versions, they are really screwing up the ease of use.

I'm going to recommend blasphemy--get something besides Android. It's been on a downward trend and Google is getting dumber every day.

I pretty much just try double tapping everything to get it to turn on now. Works on my car handle, my watch and wife's G2 (but not wife) but outside of that I look dumb double tapping my old dell laptop, and my el-cheapo blackfriday tablet.

About the LG G3, to date it is the best phone I have ever had. Replaceable battery, SD card, SIM card... It had been treated like a PC, jump drives, hubs. With the right software... one can analyze audio, physical vibrations on at least 3 axis', network monitoring and troubleshooting, list goes on and on... laser focus, infrared communication. I use Nuance Dragon to control the hands off features... flawless!!
Rooted 23C, TWRP, Xprivacy, Firewall, SD maid, utterly amazing!! Will not upgrade system... ever. Emails and messages arrive through wifi........ and cant forget TYLT CAR MOUNT, set the phone onto mount and you can start any app you want through NFC. Never have been an apple fan, not knocking it but apple cant do what I need it to do.
