Please help. Very frustrating. My son has a new Galaxy 4 And can't connect to my Wi-Fi. I have a NETGEAR N600 And shut off all security And still cannot connect. I get user authentication error. I had him connect to my other NetGear N300 And it works fine. Anybody have any tips or tricks up their sleeve?

Sounds like a problem with that particular Netgear router, given that the other Netgear is apparently OK and lets the Samsung connect. Besides turning off the security, have you tried restarting it completely, like removing the power from it? See if there's a Netgear N600 firmware update for it as well.

So your frustration is understandable, there's just dozens and dozens of factors involved in something like connecting a new phone to a wireless network. When everything is working right it's typically a really simple process, but when just one setting buried deep inside some menu isn't set a certain way, an otherwise OK day turns to s**t. Maybe the best thing to do is start from scratch. Delete the home WiFi network on that Galaxy S4 and then reconfigure your Netgear N600.
Here's a nice link on wireless router basics and a tutorial on set up:

Once that's all done, restart your son's S4 and hopefully it'll connect to your WiFi network.
