Oh great, this is just what we need. Look which carrier mentions looking at ending/reducing device subsidies.

Wireless carriers continue to battle phone subsidies

On the bright side, it seems like they tried to boost the prices when the 4G phones came out, and that didn't go too well, since AT&T and Sprint are not following suit.

Although it is interesting, if you could spread out the unsubsidized cost of the phone over a length of time of your choosing (say 6 mo, 12 mo, 18 mo, or 24 mo.) and not have to sign a 2 year agreement (only an agreement that if you end your service, you must pay the remaining balance of your phone) would you do it?

Well....sounds good to me! lol, truthfully, life keeps getting better as i get older, each decade has had its plus' and struggles, but I would not change a thing and I would not go back, even if I could! Life is truly what we make of it, make every day count!

I appreciate the aging process I this thread!!! I love being 18 again!!!!

Morning all. Been up for a few hours...jaw hurts like crazy. Drugs help, as long as I stick to the schedule that the Dr mentioned, but I fell asleep....and went a few hours too many without. Now I am hurting. Oh well. A day of pain so that it will be fixed? Yeah I can do that.
    Happy Tuesday to all!!!

Dammit. Okay, you can have Hawaii, if I can have Key West and Bermuda.

Ouch. Hope you can stay heavily medicated today. :(

Hoping the Devils take the series tonight and what a game last night between the Rangers and Caps. Was hoping the Caps pulled it out, but to score a goal with 6.6 seconds left - that's crazy.

    Good morning!

Glad you got ICS all figured out. I hear it works wonders on tablets.

That weirds me out all the time especially on my Hackintosh. Certain things work in the bootloader and in the setup from the disc, but don't work at all in the OS. Very, very strange but computers are weird.

    Morning everyone!!!

My phone didn't charge yesterday :( So I woke up late as my phone alarm didn't go on *sigh*
2/3 of the theatre stayed for the clip at the one I went to on the weekend :)

HAHAHA Is it OK if I still like Edamame? :)

How much is your data plan????

So you are thinking of getting a new laptop and iPad3?

+1 Can I be on that list, Captain? lol....though Steven will think of me quite unfaithful if I get another daddy XD

Is your wife joining you and your daughter to Amsterdam?

    Babies? lol

It's OK in the Europe which has mostly GSM/UMTS/HSPA carriers. So you can easily take your unlock phone and go to whoever has the cheapest rates so, you can jump from 02 to Virgin to TMobile. In the USA, all the carriers use not only different frequencies but different communication tech (GSM/CDMA). So you can't easily take your phone from AT&T to Sprint and use your phone with them.

That doesn't sound fun. How many days are you taking off???

Haha, I couldn't wait for lunch, so stuck my phone and tab in my car since I get 4G in the parking lot... Although have been having troubles with wifi tether, I think I figured it out, should be installing it within the next 15 minutes.

And of course, it quits on me again. Will have to wait for lunch...

I think I read an article recently saying they will no longer sell marijuana to foreigners?

As for age talk. I'll be 35 in June and act like I'm in my 20's....sometimes like I'm 5 :)

Of course you can join the fun Roze!

This will be our second "daddy-daughter" trip. She went with me a few years ago to Guatemala where we hiked up a volcano and roasted marshmallows over the lava.

That's a fact. I guess the problem is in southern Netherlands where people from Belgium and Germany drive across the border to buy it in bulk.

The city of Amsterdam is fighting the law because of the impact on tourism. The ban is suppose to go into effect Jan 1, so for those of you interested had better hurry over there.

And before you ask, even though it is legal to smoke marijuana in Amsterdam, it's never legal for airline pilots.

Haha, at the end of the movie I didn't get up to leave and the wife thought it was to let the crowd clear, so when the crowd had cleared she asked why I wasn't leaving. I simply said "It isn't over" lol.

Yeah, I didn't have time to fool with it last night so I just shut it down. I found a few things I'm going to try tonight when I get home. One is try to get to the terminal using one of the keyboard boot methods and then enter some commands, the other if that fails is to make a live cd and boot to it and see how that goes. If that fails I don't know what I'm going to do because my development stuff is all on my linux partition which can't be read by Windows, so I'll have to figure out some way to get all of that off there and do a clean install.

Also...got my next update pushed for my app to make a tablet compatible layout for larger text. Tested it thoroughly on my Nexus and my Galaxy Tab 7 plus and pushed it out. Got an error report this morning but the error report didn't capture the device type so I have no clue what device it crashed on and have no way of troubleshooting. The user wasn't helpful in his message that was included either...all it said was "won't open"

So, I'm trying to flash AOKP B34, and each time I'm not getting the complete Gapps even though I'm flashing the latest. Though it looks like I'm just missing Gmail. Also, Market isn't restoring any of my apps. Anyone have any thoughts?

Wow, the volcano is still active? lol That's so cool :) How close were you able to get to the lava?

Were there a lot of people that stayed back for the extra clip?

I want to say Gmail isn't included in gapps. I think I read that somewhere but wouldn't swear to it (especially not in the past few days). I believe it can be downloaded from the Market now.

GMail may not be included since its available in the Market - haven't flashed anything in a while.

I stop the Market from restoring my apps and just let Titanium do the work for me. Did you try that / do you use Titanium?
