Does anyone know a good ICS weather theme for Beautiful Widgets?
Anyone in here do the whole alternative medicine thing? I know several people here that have started seeing a "doctor" that practices this. Not sure if the guy is a real doctor or not. One of them got appendicitis and actually cured it with the home remedy this "doctor" told them to use. Strange stuff.
I run Suku ICS for the clock skin, standard weather skin, and hide the background. Makes for a clean look. Image below:
Personally, I really like the Curved-Blue-White-Invert skin. Also, the Bionix skin as it's very straightforward.
After Phandroid posted about the BobClockD3 widget, I'm sticking with that and using the mini widget for weather from Beautiful Widgets.
Hmmmm.... Couldn't find either of those under weather skins. Are they clock skins maybe? I am just using the 4*1 weather widget. So no clock.
Sorry, I generally don't swap out my weather skin, just the clock. The one I'm currently using for my 1x1 weather widget is Aquamix, and I think it fits in well with ICS.
My wife is a pharmacist, so not really. She does stay up on some of the remedies, but the problem with many is a lack of a clinical trial. It is difficult to say for example Herb A cured malady B in X% of population C without having the following questions answered:
What was the purity level of Herb A?
Did population C take the same amount of Herb A?
Did population C have the same variant of Malady B?
That isn't to say they aren't on to something, but the clinical trials eliminate causal relationships between remedies and the population. Common ones are nationalities that have a specific diet that includes a certain herb. That nationality has a statistically different level of a malady (say blood pressure). Is it the herb or the overall diet that is having an effect on blood pressure?
She actually does sell Juice Plus on the side as they have done the clinical trials. It has been found to be highly effective for folks with crone's disease (which I have know little about, but she has explained to me once or twice, I'm just to thick to get it sometimes).
There are also prescription remedies that are barely more than purified natural remedies. One I can think of is a new market entry where they simply removed the variation of some chemical in fish oil, the prescription is essentially for fish oil, but in a purified form so the dosage can be controlled and balanced with other treatments for optimum results. Another cool thing about this one is they were able to drastically reduce the fish allergy that prevented many folks from being able to control cholesterol with a fish oil regiment. If I could remember the name I'd add it, but when I went to the dinner / conference, between the open bar and them talking pharmacology, my eyes glossed over.
Got ICS on my tab, it's got a new lease on life, scrolling and browsing so much smoother. Good day for me.
I use the Ice Cream Sandwich superclock skin from tama-chan for my BW clock/weather.
Yeah, I realize it's kind of a crapshoot and a little like voodoo. At first I kind of quietly made fun of the stuff to myself brushing it off as hokum. But now I'm starting to wonder if it doesn't at least have some benefits. Most of the people I know that go to this place end up being put on organic diets but also being told not to eat even certain things that are organic. From what I hear, the guy used to be a pharmacist and he looks at the levels in your blood and tries to custom tailor a diet for you and also target chronic problems and attack that with diet as well. For example, one was told she could eat scrambled eggs but not boiled because of the way the body breaks it down attributes to more of an acid or something that her body doesn't need or does need...whichever way it was. Being an engineer, I tend to favor real doctors and pharmacists because of all the statistical studies/trials but the more I think about it, the more I think it at the worst can't hurt to give it a shot and eat more healthy stuff.
LUCKY! I can't wait for ICS on my Tab.
That is exactly the kinds of things that are fleshed out in the clinical trials and was part of her explanation on why that Juice+ stuff she makes me take is good for crone's patients.
Posts like this make me extremely angry
Simply hit the report button, let the mods know, and they will (have) taken care of it.
What Tab are you using? It really does make a huge difference. When I first got my Prime, I booted it up into....Honeycomb. Bummed, I immediately looked to System Updates, and there we go, a minute later I had ICS!
It's not how I planned the thread to go. Was hoping I would get more input, but that's how the internets go I suppose.
Oh I did, trust me. I was starting to get impatient and had it not been removed, I would have probably gotten an infraction.
Oh, I know. I really thought you'd get more positive response on that one. Maybe I feel differently because everyone in my family is a teacher, but I'll tell you this, they for DANG sure don't get overpaid.
Man, I'm still digging those "Avengers" wallpapers. Thought I'd throw up a screenshot. That clock widget is pretty sweet too. Been tired of BW for a while now. Nice and refreshing.
I tried to get your thread moving again dread.
Great post, btw.
Been out of the gnex loop for a bit, is there a 4.0.4 ICS official update for the verizon nexus?
A few lucky souls got one last week although I'm not sure any were "confirmed," just highly likely to be true.
Not seeing the picture...
^^ Hmm, I am. Are you on a server that may block pics?
