Doesn't that make sense though? If you aren't using the phone, wouldn't that be the highest user and not calls/screen/etc?

I really don't think this is a hardware issue, but rather a software issue. I'm not sure exchanging is going to help you. There have been reports of the same issue with Nexus S phones that have received the ICS update.

Got another oddball glitch. Put the phone on charge, battery icon shows battery charging but percentage doesn't change unless I reboot. Showed 24% rebooted and showed 68%. 5 minutes later shows 63%... What the he'll is going on???

Noticed it on stock too but figured bad battery calibration info. Wiped stats and it's still doing it. Not going to get rid of it just starting to get frustrated by the inconsistencies.

Galaxy Nexus LTE Bug Is a Figment of Your Imagination

Can somebody tell me how it is a figment of my imagination when I can't send or receive phone calls in my own home when I could with my Droid X? I buy that yes, maybe the reception bar at the top is more accurate, but that doesn't prove that there is something seriously wrong with the radio (or something software) in this phone.

Wow my phone has flatlined (battery that is) over the last ~5 hours using only 1%. Using Romans akop bld 7 flashing bld 8 now. Purposely not using my phone to watch the battery. This is on wifi. Bld 8 is said to fix one minor issue with the FX in cam settings and possibly the screen off data to 1x or 3g power saver. We'll see.

You need to return the phone and get another. My phone has been nothing short of amazing comparatively to my old Inc and Eris at least 3G and voice reception-wise. The LTE portion of the radio is likely not well integrated with the software yet, but you shouldn't have a problem with 3G and voice like that.

I tried, but they told me since I get full 4g everywhere else that it isn't a defective phone and there was nothing they could do. They just said that Verizon is aware of the issue and that a fix is incoming.

I have full 4g literally everywhere but the development that I live in, but I have/had no issues with other phones in the house but my Nexus...I am really just stuck.

Won't charge in a powered off state now. Wipe time! See if that works.

I second this. I live in a really spotty area for 3G/Voice. My reception is the same if not a little better than my OG droid. I've had a lot less dropped calls since the upgrade. 4G I have nothing to compare to.

take it back to the store you bought it from(return not exchange) and reactivate your old one. they will put your upgrade back on your account, go to another store and buy it again. profit.

    HanSolo,

I used the instructions over at xda and they had us delete that file.

Now you are saying you will need it to get the OTA. Does anyone know if I can use someone else's and if so could someone send me a copy of the file?

im sure you could also just reflash the stock image for the OTA, but yes, i read that deleting the file will break the OTAs. many of us chose to simply rename it because, in theory, we should be able to change the name back to the stock filename receive the ota, then change it back and flash CWM again and keep it moving

    Hi fellow Gnexers!

Not sure if this has been posted because - just like the mega-thread - I can't keep up with this thing!

I got my Verizon car dock today and it DOES work with an extended battery! :D

It's not hard plastic, but more of a soft rubbery substance (my guess is soft rubber  ) that flexes around the phone. And yes, you'll need to plug the phone in every time you want to use it, but I'm not griping about it because my Droid was the same way.

Anyhow, you can buy with confidence that it WILL fit!

I have returned from my adventure at Verizon. I'm sadly no longer a GNex owner, but I'll still be here with you gang. I was SO lucky to have phoned this morning to my rep when his head manager happened to be there. Hearing of my circumstances, he overrode the inability for me to exchange back to the Rezound. I would have been (only for lack of a better word here) "stuck" with the Nexus otherwise since I'd already switched phones to get one. It also helped that Verizon stores began this morning getting the emailed announcements of the Nexus signal issues to back of my merit of there being a known issue. I've never cared about how many bars the phones show, just whether or not the phones can do what they need to. Believe it or not, which surprised even my reps tonight, I was able to show them while standing at the Verizon kiosk in BJs (where every demo unit has the best possible signal) that my phone had dropped to no reception. Was in LTE/CDMA mode and it had nothing but grey bars with no 3G/4G beside it. That combined with the lack of ETA for the fix made my decision for me, unfortunately. It took them 20 minutes to get the online system to allow it, but the exchange went through. With the restocking fee waived, of course. While there, I picked up the half-priced extended battery, too. When all's said and done, the Nexus may see me again. It's not as if I can't just add a 3rd line to my account. But at least now I can afford to wait til Google works out the kinks. Til then, I'll be very happy to live vicariously through your phones. I just hope they make good on their intent to get NFL Mobile working on there for the free Superbowl streaming we're entitled to now. :D

Btw, I see a lot of commenters calling shenanigans on the Droid-Life report that AnandTech is now saying that there may be no problem, at least not a signal one.

    Christmas Gift spreadsheet:

I'm thinking it was either Razor or Stigy that gave me the link to the lifehacker site (sorry I can't remember who exactly) but I'd give you a kiss and buy you a drink if I could. It was great to be in the store with just phone rather than a big notebook today.
and if it was someone else then I apologize, I'd give you the drink and kiss. :)
