With all the reviews of the HTC one X looking very positive has anyone considered a switch? Or if anyone was on the fence with buying a note has the HTC one made them hold off making the decision?

The notes 2 biggest plusses are the screen quality and screen size. However 4.7 inch isn't small on the HTC one. Also most reviewers have said the screen on the HTC one is the best screen they have ever seen on a phone. The one does seem to have a camera advantage also.

I am on the fence. I have been playing with a note and am leaning toward the note. But the reviews of the HTC one does have me curious.

I don't think you can change batteries on the One X and that is one hassle and axiety I don't want to have. A main reason I don't even look at the Apples. I like extra batteries. Does the HTC One do LTE?

Holy hell, not is it only not removable, but 1800mAh????

I mean, at least on the Droid Razr Maxx they made it non-removable, but put in a BEEFY 3300mAh battery!!!

Thanks, but no, hell no... No spare battery solution without the need to carry something external to plug into the USB and all that mess.

Great phone, but bad design really.

Kind of like having a phone with no SD Card slot... WTF?

I took Note because it feels a little more than a smartphone a little bit of a tablet. I was going to wait until the Sony Xperia Ion came out, but figured that a few days later my new "smartphone" would be behind.

The HTC X is just a smartphone. It'll soon be behind/part of the pack.

I personally won't consider anything less than 5.3" in screen size. The Note's form factor has really spoiled me! What's nice is that most sexy new phones that come out won't tempt me as they probably will be smaller than the Note. The only phone that will tempt me from now on must be at least 5.3"... and large phones being such a "niche" I don't expect there to be all that many coming out soon.

Totally agree bro, I'm sold on the note. Kinda feels good to know that the note is future proof safe at least for the next year to year and a half.

To me, a phone without a removable battery is like a phone without an SD Card expansion slot... Worthless... Hmmm.... Reminds me of some other piece of junk... Something by some Fruit company... Anyway... Nuff Said... :)

Most people who get the "fruity" phone don't even know what they're missing. They know they want an iPhone, and there is no alternative. (I was one of those people 3 yrs ago!) If you ask them why they choose fruity over Android, and they won't be able to tell you other than they "just want" the fruity phone. :)

I was right there with you. I didn't do any research on smartphones whatsoever I just wanted an iPhone which led me to pushing it onto my BFFs, who are still iPhone people now.

As far as the One X goes, I want a removable battery and microSD slot so that is a no go for me. Though it does have a kickstand, which appeals to me greatly. I'd recommend it for somebody who doesn't want a 5.3 inch screen and isn't a smartphone nutcase like myself though. Also I'll be getting the Seidio Active case with Kickstand once that comes out in the next few weeks, so it's not even a big deal. Also waiting for ICS w/ NFC so it's a matter of patience.

i'd get htc rezound over one x for US version since both device comes with dual core.
battery, storage > 0.4' more screen size.

To correct myself here, the Evo 4G LTE has the kickstand and does have a sd card slot, so it's not a bad phone whatsoever. I'd just prefer a removable battery and the larger screen on the Note.

You know, the non-removable battery would not be a HUGE issue if they actually put some THOUGHT into it and made it somewhat bigger to account for the fact that you can't carry a spare.

    1800mAh? Still, W.T.F.?

But, I agree, the screen size is an issue now. 4.x"? Nah, too small for me now! :D

I honestly think that the camera on the HTC One X would tempt me, but I'm holding out hope that updates remove some of the lag from the Note.

But like everyone else has said, the screen size of the Note makes any other phone seem odd to me.

I haven't read anything about the Note having lag problems with the camera. I don't have a Note... yet. Does it take good pics anyway??

It takes fairly decent pictures, but coming from a Galaxy Nexus and iPhone 4s. The shutter lag is a bit much.

The Evo 4G LTE was blessed with only 200mAh more for 2000mAh vs 1800. It's the same phone as the One X just branded under the popular Evo name. I think people were expecting more fir this model though especially for a non-removable but that's apparently all it got extra for being an Evo. I was really excited about the One X and even the One XL until this battery issue came to my attention. Now I'm back looking at the Note. (Btw, a friend of mine reluctantly works for the fruit store and says the batteries are at least still replaceable with the proper tools. It's not like soldered on just not easily replaceable as you must disassemble first. So concerns about chucking the phone if the battery dies too much is resolvable! Portable chargers can compensate the other issue for most. Also, HTC will most likely include the same button combo that they have included in all previous EVOs to reboot the phone.

Once the Note gets ICS, which should be real soon I imagine most minor gripes will be solved and it will give the phone the needed boost to sustain it being "future proof". Is it possible the shutter speed and camera features can match the One X with the right app or mod? I wonder which performs better in low light and I am still trying to find out what HDR is exactly and how beneficial it is. Same goes for the Evo 4G LTE's "dual microphones with Sprint HD Voice" feature. The only problem I have seen with the note is that bluish tiny when you slide to the edge of your screen. Is there a fix for this?

I myself just made the switch away from an iPhone into the incredible world of Android. I was debating hard between HTC OneX and the Note, and ended up going with the Note. It just feels right. It's more than a phone and yet still feels comfortable. I'm also with the people saying they'll never consider a phone less than 5" because let me tell you, just after using my Note for a week, I picked up my wife's iPhone 4 and it felt incredibly tiny. I'm still young and have great eyesight, I just don't have a desire to try to read tiny text anymore either!

    Love the Note!
