I call myself semi-geeky - I support open-source, I even work on an open source knowledge project for sustainability (Appropedia.org) and I use Linux on my laptop. I have to admit that this has often made life harder for me, esp at first, but Linux distros are getting better and easier, and I look forward to it being something I can recommend for the average person. I have a new Galaxy S, which has also been giving me some headaches, but in spite of the lagging and data connection problems, I love it. It's my first real smartphone, I use GTasks all the time, and it's extremely useful. I don't want to root my phone (don't want to spend the time learning and fixing) but I'm looking forward to 2.2.
