I recently tried flashing the firmware on my SGS (downgrading from 2.3.3 back 2.2.1 due to stability issues) and seem to have a problem with the internal SD card. Although I can read the files on the card from both the phone and from a PC via USB, any changes I make by adding or deleting files disappear once the phone is rebooted.

I am also getting a lot of errors on the phone saying "XXX has stopped unexpectedly" which I suspect are related. I have tried reformatting the internal SD card from the menu in settings, from CWM recovery as well as from Windows. None of these give any errors, but the files on the card always see to reappear.

Based on a google search, it looks like failures of the SD card are a relatively common problem and I expect that as I have flashed with custom firmware this is unlikely to be covered by warranty.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this
