Galaxy s Irritated

I recently purchased a Galaxy S for tmobile....Someone logged in the gmail account and password and when trying to unlock it, it would not allow anyone to log in or anything...I myself have a gmail account and attempted to put my info down but now it reads too many pattern attempts and i have tried rebooting it i have erased everything i have done it all you name it ive done what attempts others have made and no success...Please help i didnt even get to use my phone and this is becoming redonculous.....mad:
