Help Galaxy S2 Gmail sync. issues

1/ When I refresh my gmail it comes up ..."connection error'.

2/ When i sync. via Accounts and Sync.> sync al. l get the following message..."Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly".

This has been occuring since 7th december and haven't been able to receive any e-mails on my Galaxy S2.

Can anyone provide an answer and sollution please.

Try this:

Go into settings> accounts and syncs. DON'T press sync all. Instead press the google account you set up. Now uncheck all options and then check back all options and close. Reboot and it will sync.
