Hi guys. Suddenly my galaxy s2 thinks headphones are plugged in, although they aren't. This just started in the last couple hours... Any ideas on what could be causing this? I've not plugged ear buds in lately.

Hmm interesting I would check your sound settings and try rebooting your phone, other than that, I have never heard of that.......

have you tried plugging them in and unplugging them again? I haven't ran across that issue. A reboot might be in order too.

    I use Bluetooth ones

Spray some rubbing alcohol in the port....use qtip to swab out any pocket lint....

that's why its best to get a case that has port covers like the Krakken case by Trident Cases

I would not advise doing that with the phone on.

Many rubbing alcohols are only 50% and most top out at 91% the rest is water. For dust, an air dusting spray can works well.

If you don't use your headset port often, a simple fix to keep it clean is to cover it with a piece of Scotch Magic tape.

I too like the cases that cover your exposed ports. My otter box does this well.
