Just changed over from IOS and love my GS2 but am a complete noob with the android OS. I ordered mine from the UK and when I try to download apps it tends to download the uk version, like for amazon mp3, and I can't buy apps from the android market online because it thinks I'm trying to pay pounds with dollars or something. For most apps it lists things like ebay prices in pounds. Is there anyway I can resolve this would really appreciate it.

If you change the language fro English UK standard to U.S. Standard the market will move to the UNited States, and all your apps will be from the U.S.

I like you had mine sent from UK. I am with Fido which is a division of Rogers here in Canada. From what I understand That At&T use the same frequencies as Rogers and Fido and I am able to use it here. So hopefully you will be able also. Sorry but that is all I can come up with for you.
    Good luck

Was it unlocked to begin with? If you bought it privately, the person may not have unlocked it.

If it is not unlocked, you can root it and install an app from Market to SIM unlock it for free :)

Samsung Galaxy S2 Free SIM Unlock App

Rooting is very easy to do on the S2. If you need help send me a PM and I can help you.
