Help galaxy s2 wont recognized by the computer

hello.. i know there are similar posts for this problem i try everything I downloaded drivers and delete them many times also kies and kies 3, also reset my phone 3 times i tried usb debugging on and off tried different usb cables different laptops with windows 7 and windows 8.1 but i i get is usb device not recognized . im frustrated this is my first android device and i was really excited to root and all that good things --please anyone HELP . my device is galaxy s2 GT-I9100 android 4.0.3

is it possible to upgrade to jelly bean without pc ??

i tried Mac as well and still nothing
