Is there an inductive charger / car mode holder for traveling that you might review? Personally I find these extremely useful for when I'm traveling and I'm interested in an honest review of available options.

Good point! I saw a Ravpower one I think when I was browsing. Is there any that are better regarded or popular you know of off-hand? Otherwise I will poke around some.

I honestly don't know who is the leader or best to test. I recently purchased a non charging holder that holds my phone with many mounting positions that are easily viewed but lacks the ability to supplement the charge. I wish I had been a wiser consumer with my purchase that utilized the inductive charging capabilities of my phone. With the battery drain of constant mapping and directions being an issue, I would enjoy seeing the options available for I have already made one uneducated purchase.

I've been eyeballing this, but it is wireless, so if you have that, it is *only* 10w, which is fast, but still not fast as a good plug in.

But I almost prefer to just have room to plug phone in the mount... dunno. Interesting point though!

A plug in mount is fine but it does take time and effort to connect. I love wireless charging. Just drop it in and go. Speed of charging is not an issue. I'm not looking to charge really, just supplement the drain the mapper is consuming. If that mount / charger is decent, it is not much more expensive than my present mount.

Good point, the Cheotech I linked is probably the one I'd go with, I like there products.

Due to what seems like a glitch in the Samsung preorder system I got a code for $25 credit. I pulled the trigger on this I'll give it an initial review when I get it, and another for how it works with the S20 when I finally get it in a couple weeks.

Is the charger about the same footprint of the phone? Your link didn't show the dimensions or I missed them. I'm curious if it is pocket carry size. My oldest child ran a business from her cell and always carried a supplemental charger with her out of pure necessity. This was a number of years back and the charger was huge and weighed a ton it seemed.

You got me. I had a half dozen Anker chargers, but my step-sons have managed to lose all of them. Now I'm down to zero of those. :( My impression is that this is roughly height and width the same size as the phone while being thinner than the Ankers. I'll give a review once I have it in hand.

Hmm, app won't let me reply to olbriar without crashing, lol

This appears to be a 10000, and these days they are nice and sleek. Sure, a *bit* bigger than the phone, but not much. I suspect this to be the same. I love that it's wireless, but having super fast 25w is PIMPIN.
Does it list how fast the wireless charging is?

Doesn't say, but that would be for convenience anyway. Two fast charging ports, and the ability to fast charge the charger itself was what drew me in.

I've been dying to get a portable that does *any* sort of fast charging. Not sure even the 2 year ago new one I have does more than 10w. Not sure the threshold for when the phone actually states 'fast charging'. But I was about to buy a 15w portable, then this comes out... Plus the S20 taking 25w? That's insane.

I had Ankers with Qualcomm QC 2.0 & one with 3.0 and it was great. I can't wait to see how this does. It should also be compatible with my Pixel, so I can test ahead of time.

I've enever actually paid attention to what it takes to fast charge my pixel, but I know wireless *if you have googles* it will only do 10w. If I had to guess 15w wired...

Stupid case study, by my dog ate my Roku remote, so I've been using the Roku app on my phone as a remote. The stupid app keeps the screen on and the phone unlocked (and I can't find a setting to undo that :mad) so I occasionally get into a show and next thing I know my phone is near dead. Quick charge can be a savior if I have to leave

I am a wireless charger sort of guy. I have a stand up type inductive charger on my desk. Though I typically don't need a charge when I come home from work, the phone sits there. I rarely watch a movie or anything intensive on my phone but it sits there charging all the same. It's always charged by the time I go to bed. One never knows when a situation might arise where you will be away from charging. My previous phone saw the same charging ritual for three years. I'm guessing it never was drained past 50%. Though the phone developed problems after three years of service, the battery was still solid. To me it is like running the auto to near empty before filling... something I just never do. It is a rare occasion if you find my tank less than half full.
