Basically my battery drained and when I charged it up and turned it on the phone wouldnt boot up past the black 'galaxy s3' screen.

I have read around on here and have used odin multiple times and it says success yet this still occurs. I must have tried 10 firmwares. One did boot up but it was in safe mode (or factory mode maybe?) and wouldn't allow me to get a signal / update firmware / have a lock screen etc... (seemed like a beta version)

I have done all the basics (wipe cache / factory reset etc) too. Carphone warehouse won't fix it because it's water damaged (this happened approx 2 months before it packed up, everything was working fine). What can I do? Would custom firmware work? Is this the sudden death thing I've been reading about? I've just flashed the latest firmware which came out on the 1/2 and still nothing? Thoughts?!?!
