I posted the following to the Skype Community forums under the Android section. The format of the post is as Skype community suggests here: http://community.skype.com/t5/Android/How-to-create-a-good-Android-issue-report/td-p/211384 I am cross-posting it here for some additional exposure and hopefully some informed commentary from the androidforums community. Android Device Carrier: BrightSpot Mobile (Target-Branded T-Mobile) Device Manufacturer: Samsung Device Name: Galaxy S3 Device Model: SGH-T999L Android Version: 4.3 (Stock build for a T-Mobile device) Baseband version: T999LUVUBNC1 Kernel version: 3.0.31-2106417 se.infra@R0301-10#1 Thu Mar 13 12:11:15 KST 2014 Build Number: JSS15JT999LUVUBNC1 Notes: No SIM card installed (have not switched my phone number to BrightSpot yet) hence, Phone not activated Only using WiFi Developer Mode is enabled (set that way to accommodate an Android / Outlook sync solution that I have since decided not to use) I have iBolt Dock & Drive app installed, but it no longer is set to be the dock mode application. Skype: On the Android Application Manager page for the Skype app, found the following information: Version: 188.8.131.52240 Show Notifications: <checked> Permissions: Directly call phone numbers read phone status and identity read your text messages (SMS or MMS) receive text messages (SMS) take pictures and videos record audio approximate location (network based) modify your contacts read your contacts modify or delete the contents of your USB storage disable your screen lock Add or remove accounts create accounts and set passwords find accounts on the device use accounts on the device connect and disconnect from Wi-Fi full network access receive data from Internet view network connections view Wi-Fi connections pair with Bluetooth devices retrieve running apps run at startup draw over other apps control vibration prevent phone from sleeping change your audio settings read sync settings read sync statistics toggle sync on and off modify system settings send sticky broadcast test access to protected storage Problem Description Auto Answer in the Skype settings screen is UNCHECKED. Device will auto answer without ringing. I just suddenly hear the other end talking and they can hear me Cannot easily reproduce it, there is no periodic happenstance. But I would say that it happens at least once in 10 received calls. The conditions I noticed when it last answered: Device lock screen is set to Swipe only. The device was connected to a 12v charger plug --> usb cable in the car. The car was off; the charger was not providing power. The charger cable does not have a resistor so it is not a "dock mode" cable, Phone was not in Dock Mode. Device was connected only to WiFi and was running on batteries I was also signed into skype on my home laptop at the time. The device was connected (via WiFi) to the same home LAN that my laptop was. I had rejected the incoming call on the laptop. Went out to the car to find that my father was talking over the device. There was no video coming from the far end, though he always tries to make video calls I did not notice whether my end was sending video to the far end, but I don't think so. Conditions from some previous instances: Instance 1: Phone was not connected to a cable, was sitting face up on a nightstand Instance 2: Phone was in a leather hip holster In all cases, the phone screen was locked. PLEASE HELP! This is really scary and invades my privacy. I have not done further testing from other skype accouts to try to reproduce it yet.
