  1. Android Question

    Thread Starter

    Hello.

I just bought a "new other" Samsung GS IV (I-337 AT&T model) off ebay. It appeared to be fully new. I charged the battery to 100%, and then began setting up the phone - migrating and updating apps, etc. It has used about 25% of the battery in an hour. Maybe this is typical for setting up a new phone? Anyway, it made me concerned about what kind of battery life I can expect going forward. I did note that it is android 5.0.1.

I may or may not have a problem with battery life, time will tell. However, is it possible to downgrade to 4.4.4 kitkat?

I had an AT&T Galaxy S4. Instructions for flashing are fairly complicated - depends on where you start... may need to go among several versions to get where you want. So don't follow instructions unless you're sure they apply to a phone with your existing software configuration

    Summary here:
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2616221

They summarize the software versions with two letters and a number, which are the last three characters of the build number. Conversion among build number and android version in the table here:

    OK2, OC3, OC4 are Android 5.0.1
    NJ4, NJ5 Android 4.4.4
    NI1, NB1 Android 4.4.2
    MK2 Android 4.3

So,. what is your existing build number?
