Quick and to the point - Does anyone have a suggestion on a device or method to do video capturing of the Galaxy S4 and Note 8.0 via HDMI?
More back story - I recently purchased the Samsung galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Not 8.0 (tablet). Over the past year with my previous Android phone (Droid Bionic) and Galaxy Tab 10.1 I had wanted to do video capturing and create my own tutorials for friends and family members that are constantly asking questions. After much searching and even rooting both devices I found the options to be unstable and unpractical. Now with my new Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 8.0 I wanted to do things right with hardware. But I have a laptop, so I looked at and obtained a Roxio Game Capture HD Pro device only to find out that the device reads the Galaxy S4 and Note 8.0 status as "Signal Protected". This particular device will not work. Now I know that the PS3 has something called HDCP which makes HDMI output to recording devices copy protected. I can only assume this is the case with the Galaxy S4 and Note 8.0. Are there any options for me. I am very very anxious to do this and am willing to use reasonable means to do it.
