    Good afternoon!

I am trying to update my Galaxy S5, and everytime it comes back stating that the download failed. When I got into settings it states an error code of 410. I called Verizon and they told me I would need to do a factory reset on my phone. I do not have a computer that I can download the software to assist in this via a computer

    HELP!

    Thanks!
    Jen

A pc is not necessary to do a factory reset. It is a good idea to have one to backup anything that you don't want to lose, pics and other media. A Factory Reset will erase all user data and return the phone to out of the box condition.
If you have your contacts set to sync to either Verizon or Google, they will restore automatically when you sign in.

No, they said a PC was needed to assist the update if my phone wouldn't. I really don't want to do a factory reset on my phone so that's why I'm turning to this to see if there are any other options.

Ok, they are talking about the Verizon Samsung Software Update and Repair Tool

If you are near a Verizon store they should be able to do it for you on one of their PC's.
Best Buy also has a Samsung rep that can flash the update for you.
Either way, pc is required. Sorry
