Help Galaxy S5 Missing SD Card Files

Upon updating to Android Marshmallow 6.0 on my Galaxy S5, I noticed that none of the gallery folders in the Gallery app were displaying. All the pictures (some 7.6 GB worth) on my SD card will not show up in my Gallery app. I've tried formatting the SD card, moving the photos to device storage, and even trying other photo apps from Google Play. If I navigate through the "My Files" app, all of my pictures and videos still appear on the SD card, but that is the only place I can get them to appear. When plugged into a computer, the SD card shows all pictures and videos.
