It will take a little bit to settle in. If you want to double check Settings>About Phone/Device. Look at Android Version, should be 6.0.1! For fun tap that seven times in a row! Tap the on screen image to animate and long press to launch hidden game.

Are you sure you have a 900F? The screenshot of the data is for a 900V Verizon branded. This is your current firmware

OK, so that's why it told me that my Samsung galaxy s5 model is a 900F. Kindly, I would like to know how I could possibly update the s5 to android marshmallow 6.0.1 and which firmware to update to

What is listed as the model number on the sticker under the battery?
Does the IMEI and Serial number on the sticker match what is listed in Settings-About Phone?
Trying to figure out the best way to get you updated.

Take it to Best Buy to Samsung help desk they will update it for free to 6.0 they did for me everything works.

Ok, so I live in the UK but the CSC country is the USA/US. I have a screenshot attached. The phone is unlocked although I am on the 3 network. The model on the sticker says that it is an SM-G900F and the IMEI and Serial number on the sticker matches the one in settings.

Delete and never post the numbers. Just needed to know if they matched to tell if motherboard has been replaced.

Probably the best way to get you sorted and updated would be to try Kies. It will download and flash the correct firmware for your device based on model number and SN.

Ok, thanks I will try that but should I find an update for exactly the same firmware I have or can it be a different one. Also should I find one for the SM-G900F or SM-G900V

You should get the firmware for your model number.
Look at the guide link again. Using the Software Update and Initialization under tools is probably the only time you will ever connect to Kies with device in download mode.
A lot different than connecting normally and checking for update.

I had tried that but it had failed and didn't download onto the device. Also, when I had booted it up in download mode, the upper left corner of the screen displayed that it was an SM-G900V

Your device had me scratching my head. I've never seen Verizon firmware on a international model number.
I guess you could try flashing Verizon's 6.0 firmware.

I did a little research and found something similar.
Person bought a 900F from China that was actually a 900A. Seems that the device was rooted and the build prop was edited to show model as 900F and sticker in battery compartment also showed 900F.
