    Hi, just recently my samsung galaxy s6 has been redirecting me to the google play store. Each time i attempt to visit a website through a google search it will instead open the google play store and ask me to install the application associated with the website rather than take me to the website.
    Any help would be appreciated, thank you

    You got a Chinese version S6? Is Play actually present on your phone?

    Hello @tofdog :)
    I've removed your other duplicate thread, and added more info to the thread title to attract more attention.

    @mikedt Yeah man, playstore is present on my phone, unable to find whether or not the device is Chinese or not though. The problem comes and goes and i imagine its probably an easy fix but i got no idea.
    @Mikestony cheers

    I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and this exact same thing just started happening yesterday.

    If I set my internet homepage to Yahoo, I have no problems. But if I set it to Google and try to access IMDB or Wikipedia then I get redirected.

    Also, if I change the UAString from Android to iPhone or iPad I have no problems.

    Could it be a virus? There has to be a fix for this.

    I have the same problem, but on the Galaxy Tab 3.
    It started a few hours ago, and is driving me nuts. Some web pages load normally, but those with an app redirect me to the Play Store. In particular, every time i click on a wikipedia entry result, it sends me to the wikipedia app at the Play Store. Any suggestions re how to fix this?
    I really don't want yahoo as my home page!

    So upon further reading, it looks like this is caused by some sort of virus oe malware and the suggested resolution is to perform a factory reset. I hope it works because I'm
    ready to stomp on my phone....

    @GlowGal I had a feeling it may be a virus. Where abouts did you read that?

    My tablet seems to have healed itself; google search results links are now no longer redirecting to play store apps. Fingers crossed it stays this way!
