Depending on your carrier, the Galaxy S8 could come with a handful of pre-loaded applications. Some of these can be removed completely from the device, while others can only be disabled (this prevents them from ever running and using up system resources).

Here's how you uninstall and/or disable apps on the Galaxy S8:

Method 1
  1. From your home screen, long press on an app icon to pull up list of shortcuts
  2. Choose Uninstall or Disable
  3. Confirm you'd like to uninstall or disable the app
Method 2
  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap on Apps
  3. Select the desired app
  4. Tap on UNINSTALL or DISABLE
  5. Confirm you'd like to uninstall or disable the app
