Help Galaxy SII 'freezes' after charging

Hey all,

When I leave my SII on the charger (outlet charging) overnight and come back the next morning, when I hit the power button it flashes the screen momentarily but freezes with it on.... it takes over a minute to shut off, make the screen reappear and be operable. This has happened every day for a few days and the first time, the screen wouldn't automatically time out since the setting for that had none of the radio buttons checked.

Weird and making me a little concerned... any ideas? Thanks!

Welcome to the forums James. :hello:

Have you tried a factory reset to see if that fixes it?

Thank you, Atmazz! :)

Good advice - that would probably fix it. I hate to do a factory reset after only owning my SII a couple of weeks... I'll try a restart first.

Thanks!!!

I know, it can be a pain to restore apps. :)

If that doesn't fix it, and you've only had it a short time, is it still covered by warranty?

If it was me, I would try a factory reset first. It may be an software issue that's easily resolved. Tech support would probably get you to try that anyway.

If that doesn't work, I would definitely be calling.
