My Samsung Galaxy SII (I9100) came with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. When connecting to a computer via USB, a menu came up enabling convenient selection of mass storage mode.

My phone has since been upgraded to Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), and it is now considerably less convenient to connect using mass storage mode.

Is there a ROM available that goes back to the old (or similarly convenient) functionality?

    Thanks

The Gingerbread ROM. Jellybean doesn't do it that way.

    Rukbat,

Thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that there are no post Gingerbread ROMs that work that way? Is it a complicated thing for a ROM developer to implement that kind of functionality?
