I recently got a Galaxy tab 10.1 and I love it but my chief disappointment is its frustrating performance in finding my Motorola DroidX phone's 3G WLAN hotspot and connecting. The Galaxy tab does successfully connect to my regular home wlan and to other wlans, both secure and open. For some reason, it recognizes the DroidX about 50% of the time. Other times, it simply fails to sense that the hot spot is within range, even if it is two feet away. I often run as the phone as a 3G WLAN Hotspot to provide an internet connection to my laptop. I have never had any problem with the laptop quickly finding the phone hotspot and connecting, so the problem is in the pairing of the two devices rather than the phone's hot spot. Anyone have any thoughts on how to improve this performance?
