I am about to sign up for a data contract for my first tablet and now see that there are many model numbers for this P1000 on the Samsung website. Which model numbers should I look out for (I need a 3G device in South Africa)?
I hope that the 7MBPS speed nor the 500RAM will impact on its performance and my experience?
Finally, is the FROYO OS upgradable and advisable to the latest Honeycomb?

Hi, welcome to the forums :)

I'm not entirely sure if the Galaxy Tab will get Honeycomb officially, but you can keep tabs on unoffical progress of a Honeycomb port here. It's certainly looks to be getting gingerbread.

I woudn't envisage 500MB RAM would hinder performance at all, nor would the 7MBps, but that depends entirely on what you want to do with it. It should be more than sufficient or most apps though.

If you have device specific questions, you should be able to get all the support you need in the Galaxy Tab subforum.

I'd check your APN settings, see if they are correct. You should be able to get them from your network operator.

We tried that but somehow the service providers settings were not being pulled in.
I restored factory settings and my 3G and wireless works perfectly.
Think that one of the many downloaded apps probably caused this conflict!
    cheers
