Galaxy W- Exact CPU Type and Speed

Hi All,

Does anybody know the excat CPU type used in Galaxy W.

From Quadrant, I get this info:
CPU:
Name: ARMv7 Processor rev 2(v7I)
Max Freq: 1024Mhz
Min Freq: 122.88 Mhz
Cores:1
...
SetCPU detects the same type and frequency range.
Should not the maximum be 1.4GHz as announced?

I got the phone from Bell Canada. There are some differences in specifications between mine and what is on websites. e.g.: My camera is 3MP instead of 5MP. Just wondering CPU has the same issue as camera.

It looks same CPU type, but lower working frequency. Can it be due to my provider default ROM?

I think this is a real Scam, as it is described as Samsung Galaxy W

You got SGH-T679M.....1 GHz CPU, 3MP Camera.

I got GT-I8150.......1.4GHz CPU, 5MP Camera.

Very hard to find spec for SGH-T679M.

Is it a Canada thing, if so, I would be pretty mad, but is there a price differential, or is the higher spec model available?

EDIT, here is Comparison, from GSM Arena, your phone is the SAMSUNG EXHIBIT II 4G, as sold in the US, but they have branded your Canadian version as Galaxy W.........not nice IMHO

It looks Bell Canada is cheating by making use of Galaxy W name.

In theory if the CPUs are identical it should also be able to work @ 1.4GHz as well. am I right?

Do you think I can use Galaxy W ROMS on my phone?
