    Hi,

I have a Droid X and when I click on my Gallery it doesn't do anything! This is a new thing, as it always worked before. Even right after I take a picture now, the only way to keep it is to share it right away by email or text. Can anyone help me?

    Thanks, Debra

Hello and welcome to the forums, Debra.

You may have to go into the Gallery app and do some temporary cleaning. I'd back up everything in there to my computer via the USB cable, then go into application manager and hit clear cache and clear data in the Gallery app there.

Menu > settings > applications > manage applications > menu > sort by size. Click the Gallery app then the two buttons for cache and data.

    Then reboot.

Next, check to see that new pics go in by using your camera again, then, if all is well, go ahead and put the saved pics back in via the USB cable (if you need those pics to be in there).

Oh no, I did what you suggested...when I look in my apps under manage apps, there is no Gallery! But it shows up when I pull up my apps while looking in my apps (not in settings), and when I click on it, it looks like it shows on the screen for a split second and then disappears! I can't imagine how this happened or what I do now!

    It is there.
You have to look under all apps because it isn't running.
You also want to clear the cache of the photowidget app.

Worse case, you'll have to clear the cache of the media storage, in which case you will have to reassign your ringtones, notification tones, and playlists.

I think I like that gallery app.
Would you happen to know if there are any adverse affects to disabling the stock gallery app?
