Help Gallery Folders

Is there any way to have folders in the Gallery to seperate or sort photos instead of them all being in the same place and on show?

You should be able to do this on your SD card (if you have one) I have and I have photos in the folders I want them, not sure how using the phone memory but it can't be too much different.
I just connected my Phone via usb storage, found the folder that my camera pics were, then added folders as I wanted them and moved pictures into them.

I'll have a play about with this tonight. I know my gallery is weird though. I currently have the following folders in it:
Camera, Download, Bluetooth, Droidhen, Picsay, ScreenCapture, Videomaker

So it seems like it's certainly possible to make new folders.

yeah i think pretty much all android gallery apps sort photos by the folders theyre stored in. guess u could organize them using a file manager but thats a bit messy i think.. no way u can do it in the gallery app. if ur looking for an alternative, quickpik seems to be very popular. i tried it and it was very good, although i went back to stock gallery for some other reason

The new quickpic update does folders and it's much better than default.

The gallery sucks though. Stunned you can't do folders or even tags, or move from one folder to another. Quickpic helps to some extent but i still miss tags.

I tried the idea from Kebark. It works. . . however all it dies is out them into a folder in yoyr gallery and they are still on display.

I was looking more at how to move photos from the gallery so they cannot easily be viewed as soon as you open your gallery.

I could not see a way of even changing a folder to a "hidden folder" like you can on a PC which would solve the problem?

Sorry mate completely misunderstood you. Try this guide instead, it's to put things into hidden folders :)

Files hidden this way can ONLY be found through the My files screens :)

HI...i tried to look for free ringtone download for my samsung SGII 4G but the free ringtone download charges my phone for receiving it. Is there such thing as really free so i can transfer new ringtones to my phone from pc to samsung SII 4G?

Yes you can transfer them from your PC. Put them in a folder called "Notifications"
