Anyone noticing the gallery freezing when trying to access it? What gives

yes I have and it is annoying. the only fix I have found is to back out and re try it.

Yes! It's so weird... it's not an "always" thing.. but sometimes it's like that on consecutive tries... I don't really know. It's annoying.

Same thing happening here. I've also experience lag when switching from horizontal view to vertical, and when I want to go to my home screen. Could it be the 800 Hz chip? Does anyone know? I'm think I'm going to do a hard reset, and probably will root soon after that if it doesn't work.

mine doesn't do this... but I am rooted running CM6, I only had it stock for about a week..

My G2 isnt rooted and it's on stock.. and i havn't experienced any of those problems.

mines done it a couple times in the past before i rooted. It could be all your other background apps running and catching up along with your gallery loading constantly. as soon as i rooted my phone everything seemed faster, along with a few mods i did myself.

I think I have only noticed this, when it is scanning in new image files from things I have downloaded to the SD card. Once it has scanned in the newer image files, it does not seem to do this, until you load in more files (emails attachments, MMS messages, wallpapers, etc). But like the others, since I have rooted my phone, I have not noticed any freezing of the gallery.
