I am posting this here in the Evo 4G section as I believe that this has to do only with Evo rooted devices for the moment.

I have a few games, two by Glu Mobile, and the other by someone else. Each has these sort of "tokens" the game uses to purchase things and do other stuff with. While there are options to buy these tokens, there are also options to "earn" the tokens.

Before I was able to access this screen which ran a modified web browser within the game itself to places such as the Market to download other games from the publisher, sign up for offers, and other stuff to earn free tokens.

When I was unrooted or had different ROMs, I was able to access these screens from each game. Now I am in CM7 ROM and I believe that this may have something to do with the rooted version of the device in terms of reading it incorrectly.

(I put a space after the "https" and before the ".com" so that it could display the text as text and not a website link.)

That is the website it takes me too from within the game and opens in a web browser as I explained before. When it tries to take me to this or the other site, it simply pops up the message about it not being able to connect to the internet...you know, the one about there's a problem with your internet or this website. This was one of the URLs that was unable to be reached. If you read the URL text, you can see that it lists my device by name "PC36100" (HTC Evo 4G) and even displays it's Android version "android&os_version=2.3.3&country_code=US&language=en..."

I am guessing this is a problem for only me as my friends who have other Android phones including the Evo, are able to see these websites from within their games as well.

The games I am having trouble with are:
    -Big Time Gangstas
    -Bug Village
    -Drag Racing

Hello there, your post is from a little over 2 years now! I was like 34 when you posted it! :smokingsomb:
LOL anyway, so I have the same issue. It is a shame no one ever answered your post.
    Your explanation was ubber awesome.:D

That is all I wanted to say, but it just occurred to me that i could ask you if you ever found a solution?--- and I also remember that I did a factory reset on my phone a minute ago, I did not do a nandroid backup... deliberately.
    ;)

Oh no reason to explain why, wish me luck and if you did solve it, please post the answer! Maybe there is someone else with the same issue as you and I, and If I find the solution before you post back, if you ever do, I will post it as well. :p

    Namaste

lol well I can't go back and check it now because I switched to the iPhone and sold my Evo but I believe the problem kept happening because CM7 had a built in AdBlocker at the time which read that entire website as an ad so it blocked it from me being able to view it.

If you are encountering the same problem, it could be Adblock.
