Can we get a games without IAPs thread going? I just want a good experience that's not interrupted by constant nagging.

Hi @tk7x, and welcome to AF :)

Is there a particular type of game you're interested in? And are you only interested in free games, or are you good with games that require a one-time up-front payment and never nag you again? How about ad-supported games?

    Hey @codesplice,

No particular game type. My thinking is that a good game is a good game regardless of genre.

They can be paid games. In a way I almost prefer paid games as they often seem to take themselves more seriously.

I'd prefer ad-less. Though it's not a deal-breaker a 100% of the time. (I have up the blood on my phone and I don't really mind the ads there since they're sparse and relatively unobtrusive.)

Honestly, I just hate games that nag and I'm just looking for _the very best_ stuff and experiences.

I've got a bunch of games installed on my phone and tablet. I'll try to drum up a list of the ones I play without naggy IAPs, but won't be able to do that until tonight (can't have my phone at work :( ).

I just hit a goldmine. An extensive list of IAP-less stuff. If anyone else is looking for something similar, here's the link.

I'd like a first person shooter with no paywall or in app purchases. If there are in app purchases, it should only be a minor shortcut, not exclusive content.

I would love to pay for this app...once...not every 3 days.

A bit late, but as promised here's a slightly-curated list of what I've currently got installed on my phone:
    • Exiles ($6.99, no IAP) The closest to Mass Effect you'll get on Android.
    • GTA: Chinatown Wars ($2.99, no IAP) Grand Theft Auto built specifically for mobile devices.
    • Knights of the Old Republic ($4.99, no IAP) Because KOTOR.
    • Leo's Fortune ($2.99, no IAP) Gorgeous little platformer.
    • One More Line (Free/Ad-Supported, $1.99 IAP to disable ads) Infuriating fast-paced challenge.
    • Out There ($3.99, no IAP) Because you die in space.
    • Star Command ($2.49, no IAP) Because you've still always wanted to be Kirk/Picard.
    • Pathogen ($0.99, no IAP) Beautiful puzzle/strategy game.
    • Fiz: Brewery Management Game ($2.99, no IAP) Haven't you always wanted your own brewery?
    • Shortyz Crosswords (Free, No Ads, No IAP) Crosswords are games, right?
    • Tipsoccer ($0.99, No IAP) "We have no idea how soccer works. We just want to play it. Come with us and let's have drunk fun with soccer!"
    • Wayward Souls ($6.99, no IAP) Challenging dungeon exploration where death is The End.

I'll try to remember to pull some other recommendations off my tablet tonight. :)

    Valiant Heart (kinda).

It does technically have IAP, but you're not buying additional currency or power ups etc, you're paying for extra levels.

Ditto with Republique. Great game, and the IAP is for extra episodes, not stuff to level up with.

    Would they count?

And Leos Fortune is probably one of the best games I've played on Android, good shout CS. :)

    Continuing...
    • Anomaly Defenders ($3.99, No IAP) Absolutely incredible tower defense. (BTW, the other Anomaly titles are also must-haves for inverse tower defense - that is, you play the invaders blowing up other towers.)
    • Goat Simulator ($4.99, No IAP) You're a goat. What more could you want?
    • Star Realms (Free limited trial, $3.99 IAP to unlock full game) A nifty space-conquest-themed deck-building game.
    • Talisman ($5.03, IAPs for optional expansion packs) Digital adaptation of the classic fantasy adventure board game.
    • rymdkapsel ($3.99, No IAP) Zen-like space-themed strategy game.

Damn, I've played a lot of games.
