Upgraded to Gingerbread this morning. Stock DroidX.

Immediately the sdcard was not recognized. Pulled battery, pulled sdcard, reassemble and reboot, no good. A couple reboots later and it showed up.

Been on all day, just checked and the sdcard is missing again.

Anyone else seeing this or have any ideas?

i'd try copying everything off the sd card, reformat it, the copy everything back.

    Update:

The SDCard is being unmounted for some reason after a couple minutes.

I can switch from pc sync to mass storage, then back to pc sync, the SDCard reinitializes and remounts, then a minute or two later unmounts. When it's unmounted I don't have the option to format.

The other oddity is that even in the unmounted state I can view it from my PC's explorer. I backed up the entire drive over USB while it was unavailable on the actual phone. So the drive itself seems fine, GB just can't keep it mounted.

Logcat shows the card being unmounted but doesn't give an indication as to why.

Would a factory reset help? That would leave my sdcard contents alone, right?

It may or may not help. Only one way to find out. :p. And yeah the SD card won't be touched.

    Moving this to support. :D

Factory reset or format the sdcard. One of those should fix it.

Before resetting I'd try a different card. :D

The exact same thing happened to me. Just happened to have another one to replace but I assume the old one is fried. Mine never came back though.

    Update:

I did a factory reset and the sdcard became stable again.

While going through and reinstalling my apps I found that "Listen" by google (which was in heavy use previously) was listed as incompatible with DroidX. I wonder if that changed with the GB upgrade?

Either way, I picked a different podcast app and have been running smoothly so far.
