    If you love travel and history, this is the app for you! Reads aloud historical markers as you drive by them. Also contains info about historical bridges, towns, and even UFO sighting locations all for you to hear as you approach them. You can also make you own talking points and share with the world your knowledge about local landmarks and events. Download at Android market (Search under Georeader).     I notice from reading the FAQs on the site that there are advertising points. Is there an option to turn off having to listen to advertising points?

    Well, as it is super new and a very fledgling company, the short answer is no but as it grows and if there still demand for this, it does have the possibility to be offered in the future. Dave

    Oh. I forgot to tell folks that we made a video on how to create a talking point and posted it on the website. MyGeoReader: Hear as you near. Learn as you go.. You can see it's pretty easy. Everyone is encouraged to make some. The more out there, the more interesting it gets. Dave

    The Georeader app got picked as a finalist for the 2010 European Satellite Navigation Competition.

    So far over 1000 downloads which is great. Been working on a list of updates I would like to incorporate. They are mostly minor and pertain to getting more operational instructions to users as it is a pretty involved app.

    I was invited by the City of Prescott Arizona to give a talk on the role of History and Technology using my app as an example. My app Georeader is going to be used by the city to help promote knowledge about their historic areas. I am very happy about this opportunity.
