    For anyone that lost their carrier identification after rooting, installing the APN fix for your carrier will restore it.

    I thought sprints were the default mostly and we flash the fixes for us no contractors

    I haven't seen one. Probably because Sprint is the default for most ROMs. Maybe either the Boost or VM one can be modified. It's just an edit script.

    It's still a ROM. It's just a stock ROM.

    ...That is a fair point, sorry. I have LG as my carrier, not sprint.
