    Hi everyone,

I just begin to develop an android app and I would like to know if it's possible to get the size (number of characters) of the SIM PIN, not the pin itself (I hope it's not possible to get it, for security purposes).

I already checked in google documentation. The only SIM references I found was functions returning the SIM card status (No SIM card in phone, locked, normal, etc..). Sorry if I missed something related to my answer.

    Thank you,

I don't think so. The PIN is well-guarded, and the only way to check the number of characters is to look at the PIN. There is no separate "PIN character amount" stored in the device.

PIN is always 4 digits, nothing you need to check there - at least in GSM phones.

Too bad but logic. Thanks for your answer.

By the way, if I'm right, the GSM is the norm used in France too and my sim pin code is 8 characters long.

    Have a good day!
