As mentioned and major kudos to Asus for being transparent about it, they will only produce 10,000 a month (global) and this will not get better until later in June. This would suggest that unless product is air shipped, steady supply (in stores) is not happening until late July. 10,000 a month for any device, yet alone a hot one like the Asus is almost nothing, for global supply.

Your thread title is probably very accurate.

Hi, i also seen on other forums (and asus facebook pages) that it wasn't 10000 units per months but 10000 units per DAY... (and until now it was 5000 per day..) hope it is true, i think it is, since many suppliers here in canada have a waiting list and are dropping quite "fast"... and newegg had some in stock this morning...

Was planning on making a 2 hour drive to Frys in Georgia since they had the Transformer in stock, or so the site (and customer rep I called) said, yesterday. Then right before I'm about to leave, I decide to check the site again, and it was no longer in stock. Thinking some bastard bought my Transformer ;), I called Frys and they told me they didn't even have it in the first place!!!

So, now I'm playing around with my Iconia. Not having much fun though since 1, I'm on a Mac and too lazy to turn on my Windows laptop, and 2, because of a storm I'm now using tethering off my iPhone 4 (att, what fun!), and HC can't connect to it (i read adhoc networks aren't supported :( ) and I didn't discover Android File Transfer until after I downloaded an 80gb or so driver from Asus to be proven that my suspicions were correct and that it was for Windows only.

Enough whining. I doubt it's going to happen, but if the Transformer does hit BB or Walmart or whatever in the next 14 days, I'll return my Iconia. But I don't think I'll be in a rush once my net is back on.

On a sidenote, I have no clue why people think the bezel is too big. It fits my thumbs perfectly. And since the Transformer and Iconia's bezels seem to be similar in size, I don't think it's an issue for either. Or maybe I just have fat thumbs. :D

I would just troll Newegg's site right now. Bought the TF and the KB dock both today from NE within 30 mins time. Use Nowinstock.net.

My dock shipped from TD via buy.com. my TF should ship from BBB next week. Starting to feel better.

My TF shipped from Best Buy Business on the 5th. Nice to get the shipping confirmation on my b-day eve though it's two days after it shipped. Won't get I until the 12th.

Meh, this shortage is a blessing in disguise. These tablets are a complete waste of money. Honeycomb is a glitchy mess right now. Why they can't deliver a finished product is beyond me.

Considering the parts issue, ASUS has seem to have done a pretty decent job getting units out there. Ordered mine from Walmart last night. I can wait on the keyboard dock.
