getting rid of ELM

How do you permanently get rid of the useless app? It continually re-enables itself if you disable it and is definitely a batrtery user as well as being highly suspect from a security viewpoint.

ELM Agent, or Emulated Legacy Mount Agent, is used for multi-user support. It's BLOATWARE, meaning that it was built into your Android System by the manufacturer. The only way to remove it is to root the phone, gaining access to the device's system files. You could then use Titanium Backup to "freeze" ELM rather than remove it: removing system apps can sometimes have disastrous consequences!

ALWAYS make a backup in Recovery before tinkering with System! You will learn backups and Recovery as you start your journey toward rooting your phone.
