before the upgrade... did your GPS have problems?
only problem before i flashed EG22 with the gps was sometimes it would take awhile to lock now it locks instantly
Awesome to hear. How accurate was your GPS then and now? I still run on froyo, but my GPS takes forever to lock on. Unless I'm connected to WiFi, my GPS is almost useless for giving real-time directions.
i usually get in around or under 10 meters now and was around or under 20 on EC05
Any news from Sprint or Samsung lately ?
I need more POWER Scottie !!!!
No word other than speculation as usual. My contract will end and I will be using a dual core before GB is available for the Epic.....
3 new updated rdf's. looks like there workin hard to get this done
That's all good but even you can type up some code, post it and say your working on it and it may satisfy some but when newer and yet less expensive phones are getting the update ahead of us, I call foul.
I understand if the Evo got it first but there are prepaids getting the update before we do. Really
I'm a patient person but don't promise something you can't produce and expect them to wait a year or longer for the update. IMO
Let's keep it clean guys. Attack and discuss issues and not users.
-sent using swype and not realizing how much I would miss the epic's keyboard
I may be missing something, but I fail to see any personal attacks in any of the above.
Yeap, they've been deleted.
When in doubt, you can always PM me to check.
so any news on when gb will be out?
Nothing I've seen personally, but if history is to repeat itself, we expected the Evo to update _after_ the Evo 3D was released, but instead it updated weeks before.
Given that the launch of the updated version of your phone is getting closer and closer - as I say, if history is to repeat itself - then your wait may finally be coming to a close.
Hopefully they will roll out a bug-free update for the Epic. The Evo Shift received yet another update today to fix some bugs.
Everyone screams about not getting an update first. But sometimes first isn't always best.
very very true...
but.. it really sucks being last!
Keep the faith !
It's all about the climb.
I am not buying another Samsung phone after this. They seem to take forever to get their updates out. The next phone will either be Motorola or HTC. I don't understand why Samsung can't get their updates out quicker it seems that they are too busy making phones and neglect the maintenance of their phones.
the display does it for me. I cant see getting a phone that looks like garbage. I will wait
I agree. The Epic is still the best phone out right now. Although I'll admit I'm not too fond of how long this is taking.
yup. Still more of the same. wait for it, wait for it, waaaaaiiiittttttt for iiiiittttttt...lol
I'm thinking Sprint will have the new GS2 by the time we get GB. Anyone see the post about it may have a slider for ATT and Verizon? I was shocked....
Another leak....beyond frustrating: Samsung Epic 4G sees yet another Gingerbread leak with build EH06 | Android Central
I had the same problem with HTC and the Hero, it took them forever to get 2.1 and when we got it it was a dog phone.
I am happy with the Epic and decided it will come when it comes. ust don't turn my phone into a dog with the new release.
Nobody seems to get it. I mean the reason they release these leaks is to make you hang around waiting for something that's not coming anytime soon.
Just like when they leak photos of new phones the makers want you to anticipate the release in hopes you will buy it. There's two leaks out right now. The GS2 that was found for sale on eBay, Motorola Defy and the new HTC with Ice Cream Sandwich they think its HTC that was seen on Craigslist of all places....LOL
