Gingerbread Update *Aborted?

HI everyone I'm new to the forum

My issue is when i received the gingerbread update i clicked install now, it went into boot mode nd then words scrolled down ending with ...Update Aborted

Has anyone experienced this b4? I apologize for I sound noobish but i must admit i am a GoofeyGoo[newb]
if more details needed please ask: i'll wait for the update again and comment on what it says to be more specific
