Ever since I've had Froyo (never tested it with 2.1) on my Droid X, this audio out of sync issue has drove me completely crazy. I used handbrake and followed the settings on the knowyourcell droid x to no avail. It seems that it only affects a small number of droid x users, though I have seen multiple threads on the issue so I know it's not an isolated incident
Basically anytime I skip forward or go back the audio and video would become permanently out of sync. Skip forward a little bit, skip forward almost the whole video it didn't matter. Pausing and resuming didn't fix it. What video player I used didn't fix it. The only way to avoid the video being out of sync was to watch it all the way through, even then sometimes it would still get messed up.
I applied the official verizon release today and the issue is finally resolved. I tried pausing, skipping back and forward a bunch of times. Tried it on moboplayer and the default player, I can finally watch videos properly. Did not even do a factory wipe.
