I just read this on XDA Developers Forum. Here's Verizon's update page. Software Update: DROID INCREDIBLE 2 by HTC
Are you kidding me? It looks like they were grasping at straws with the Device Features. +NY Times website has been added to the browser bookmarks
It does appear to be coming soon, but do you have a link showing that date? It's not a big deal, but I figured I'd ask.

Looking at the list of new features, what's the big deal? Is there something else included with GB that we should be overly excited about?
People already posted links for me so thanks to them! I was a little surprise the tbolt didn't get it first...
I have to agree with you.....what's the big deal? Looking at the new updates, nothing really seems like much in the way of exciting new features or major upgrades. Is it worth even downloading it?
So to repeat my question from post #9: Is there something else included with GB that we should be overly excited about?
go to android.com and than click on the press and media tab and than the gingerbread tab and watch the video from the devs.
I think a lot of it is behind-the-scenes. However, there's a possibility of video calling via Skype or other provider. Also, a new keyboard with better copy/paste, performance and power management improvements, and Near Field Communications (high-speed data transfer between two devices at a short distance.) Nothing too crazy. Skype calling would be nice if that ends up working. Otherwise, anytime there's a potential for performance improvement I'm always interested. I'm hoping we get access/compatibility for the Netflix app at some point, but I doubt this update has anything to do with that.
Actually, I'm not too surprised that we're getting it before the TB. Since it's an LTE phone, there's more that can go wrong.
So what does this mean for root? Will this undo bloat freeze? If so, will I be able to temp root again and re-freeze?
The big. deal is primarily that our phone is continuing to be supported and updated by Verizon. Even if GB weren't to run smoother with more capabilities (which it does) it is important that Verizon hasn't writtwn us off as they promote the Droid 3, thunderbolt, etc. And i wanna see andy. in a bee costume before I retire this phone.
Any chance this will increase battery life? I am considering returning my Dinc2 because of battery life but only have until Wednesday to do so.
